From Notionología to NOXEN: a journey behind curtains

We're rebranding and changing from Notionología to NOXEN.

For us—and hopefully for you too—this goes beyond a name change. It's the beginning of a new chapter for our small but growing company.

The click that made us take the step to rebrand

Shortly after launching Notionología, we noticed something. Someone already had the name Notionology in English. This, along with the fact that our clients in the USA (and many in Spain) couldn't pronounce it correctly either, made us realize it was just a matter of time.

However, before jumping the gun, we needed to focus on the essentials: growing the business.

And that's exactly what we've been doing since 2021. We've grown Notionología much more than we initially thought possible, working with institutions as prestigious as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and collaborating increasingly with American, and english-speaking clients.

Why Noxen?

Noxen isn't just a name; it's a reflection of our vision. NOX is an acronym representing our core values:

• Nexus: The connection between people, ideas, and tools
• Optimization: The constant pursuit of efficiency
• X: A creative twist replacing the "F" in Flexibility, making it easier to pronounce

The "EN" suffix suggests integration into an optimized and flexible system that acts as a nexus for business organization.

A glimpse into the rebranding process

After much reflection, in September 2024, we started looking for an agency to help us with this process and found Nativo Studio, led by Javier, who is a Notion ambassador.

And with someone to help bring this new identity to life, we started with something much more challenging than we had anticipated: choosing the name.

We had several specific criteria to consider:

• 1 single word
• No "Notion" in the name
• Easy to pronounce in Spanish, French, and English
• Available domains
• Not too long

A new visual identity

The transformation goes beyond the name by creating a new graphic identity. We wanted to create a more professional brand while maintaining that fun touch that corresponds so much to who we are.

Some details we've incorporated:

• A vibrant and modern color palette
• Custom illustrations that combine Notion's minimalist aesthetic with unique and colorful touches
• A visual identity that reflects both professionalism and creativity

Looking to the future with excitement

A change like this is scary. But we're convinced it's the right decision because it will allow us to:

• Continue offering Notion services, courses, and templates
• Expand our tool portfolio, which is something we already do but haven't communicated well
• Materialize our vision: helping companies modernize the way they work so they can do it better

The transition phase

During this month of January and part of February, we'll be making this transition to the new identity.

This change shouldn't affect you negatively as all your resources and access will remain available.
