§ 05 / HONESTY

When not to hire us

We don't fit everyone. Here are the four scenarios where it's better not to hire us.

You want a Notion template. We don't sell templates. Notion's official gallery has free templates. Start there and, if at some point it falls short for your team, come back.

You need it done next week. Good work has its own rhythm. If your timeline is shorter than our discovery, the system won't hold up beyond launch. Better to wait for the next cycle or find another team.

You want AI on top of a mess. 95% of AI implementations fail because the data underneath is broken. If you're not willing to invest in the data layer first, we're not the right team.
04
You need someone who executes without pushback. We have strong technical opinions and we defend them when we see something won't work. If you need a team that builds exactly what you have in mind without questioning it, there are good freelancers for that.

Fixed price or time-and-materials?
By default we work on fixed price per project, with the scope agreed in the proposal. For long engagements where scope keeps expanding we can set up an hours bank, but it's not the norm.
Can you just do the technical piece?
Yes. Some of our engagements are that, when the client already understands the problem and just needs technical execution. If you're not sure what you need, start with an audit: discovery tells you exactly what's missing.
Why Notion as the platform?
Because today it's the best tool for operations and knowledge management. We've been betting hard on it since 2021 and we're Notion Solutions Partners. That doesn't mean it's the only tool we use: when another tool is the right fit for a specific part of the system, we integrate it.
Will my team actually use the system?
That's the key question, and it's why training + handover is mandatory in every engagement. Role-based workshops, internal documentation, and 15-day on-call after closing. If adoption doesn't take, we come back and fix it.
How soon can you start?
We run several engagements in parallel. Discovery calls are usually same-week. Builds require planning based on the scope. For one-off technical drop-ins we can sometimes move fast.
What size of company do you work with?
Teams of 20 to 300 people. Below 20, only if you're in active growth and plan to expand the team in the coming months. Above 300, we coordinate with your Notion Account Manager if you're on an Enterprise plan. If you don't have an Account Manager, get in touch and we'll help.
Do you work with clients outside Spain?
Yes. The team is distributed across Lyon, Spain, Colombia, Mexico, and Chile. We work in Spanish, English, and French, and cover European and American time zones.
Do you only do Notion or work with other tools?
Notion is the center, but our philosophy is to use the right tool for the job. That's why we manage a broader stack including CRM tools like Attio or Pipedrive, email marketing tools like ConvertKit or Mailchimp. We connect and automate everything with Relay.app, n8n, or Zapier. On top of that, we use Claude in our day-to-day and with our clients.
Which tools do you migrate from?
The most common ones we've migrated from are Monday, Pipedrive, Tettra, Airtable, and spreadsheets. If your tool allows data export, we can work with it.
What happens after handover?
15-day on-call is included in the engagement. After that, an optional monthly retainer if you want ongoing support. Most clients run on their own once the team has the documentation and workshops.
How does the team communicate during the project?
Shared workspace with you, all progress visible. Live weekly review. Slack or email based on your preference.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, by default. Before discovery we sign an NDA if you need one. We work with sensitive internal data in every engagement.
